LATA Foundation is helping sustainable projects around Latin America with sustainability, environmental protection and responsible trade at the core of its policy and ethic.
LATA and APIS have been developing a project here in Picinguaba aiming at protecting the environment and adapting to responsible tourism. Activities started in November last year with a series of workshops and lectures designed to teach how to reduce our impact on the environment. We also involved the children of Picinguaba in our environmental education program and hosted yesterday a workshop making signposts for the beach and the ‘couves’ island. These signs will, we hope, raise awareness from tourists and locals in regards to the preservation of these beautiful places.
